Hej pal!
I’m writing from my parents’ house in Sweden this week. I’ll be celebrating the holidays here for the first time since moving to France in 2020.
When I lived here I thought of myself as someone who has no emotional attachment to this country, but after being away from it for real, there are definitely nice things about Sweden. For instance, I think there are a lot more benches and things to sit on.
My family and friends are pretty dope too.
On my way here, I had the most chill doodle experience of my life. Above the clouds, by the window, looking out at the clouds and listening to Green (my favorite instrumental album).
Everything felt puffy and simple. No ads, no road signs. Just clouds cast in beautiful light.
I thought of what kinds of creatures would inhabit the world for this side-project that I’ve been teasing. They’re tiny creatures living on atoms, so they have to feel tiny, but I also want them to feel relatable, so I don’t wanna make them feel too otherworldly.
We will see if I can settle on something.
My favorite link collection
Lately I created a page with curated links to my favorite websites.
I think a lot of people tend to bookmark web pages that they find fun or interesting, but then they remain forgotten in some subfolder of bookmarks in your web browser.
I’ve decided to sift through mine and put them somewhere useful instead.
Here are 3 nice links from the list
💬 Comic - Blind Alley
Is about a gang of kids living in a strange neighborhood. It’s nice because it can be read as a linear story or you can pop in occasionally as most strips stand up well on their own. Make sure you start from the beginning.
🎯 Game - Drenched
A great, mindless thing to catch a mental breath if you have been staring at something for too long. In my opinion much better than Wordle, because Wordle takes too much concentration and energy.
📝 Article - Less Talk, More Rock
Video games have a language of their own and they are messy to make.
Do you have any bookmarked webpages you think might be worth sharing? I’d love to know! (might include them in another issue if I like them)
Thank you for reading! See you next week!
Okay, really loving this Green album! I'll be listening to it when I write tomorrow.
Also dig how your doodles turned out. I've been meaning to make a page of links too so this was a good reminder!
