Those are definitely some words of wisdom from your old teacher. Maybe I should take that advice to heart as well.

Even though the pictures don't give the full experience, those are some really pretty pictures. Glad you had a nice trip!

That's so cool about the Surmount review in the magazine. I actually think I picked up a copy of that magazine way back in the day, even though I didn't know a word of French -- lol. It was also on a train trip. 15/20 is a fine score.

Btw, we've talked about the remake of Metroid 1 before and it seems like Nintendo finally released it on the Switch (it's called Metroid Zero Mission) -- so now, there at least is a legit way to play it if you decide to.

Glad you like the pictures! :- )

15/20 feels perfectly fine yeah! Love that you know the magazine as well, hehe

I saw about Metroid Zero Mission! I thiiink it might be the one I already have on my 3DS, need to double check that. And there's Metroid Prime 4 as well! You must be pretty excited for that? They didn't show much but it looked extremely polished and impressive graphics for a Switch game. I hope it plays good...

The one on 3DS is Metroid Fusion ("Metroid 4"). And yeah, I'm excited for Prime 4! The game was first teased in the secret ending of Metroid Prime 3, back in 2007, so it is pretty crazy! With that said, this was a very basic trailer showing what seemed like a tutorial area and giving confirmation of who the villain is, which was already hinted at -- and then, with a brief shot of an open world at the end. This is all great for me, since I'm gonna be avoiding trailers from now on and try to go in as blind as possible :)

I'm gonna assume that it plays good. It's weird to say, but I'm almost more excited about getting a new game from Retro Studios than I am about getting a new Metroid Prime. It's been 10 years since their last release, "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze", which many would consider one of the best 2D platform games of all time. While I know that people come and go from these development teams, their track record is pretty unreal. I think some of it has to do with the interesting mix of Western and Japanese development styles.

People have long been speculating that this game might be releasing on both the Switch and their new console -- kind of like Breath of the Wild did. I guess time will tell :)
