My friend's movie script and my comic strip
Surmount TikTok, test strip for Between Atoms and a new essay
Hi pal!
My vacation in Sweden is over, I’m back in France and it’s excellent to be home. It’s sad to be so far from my friends and family. But I felt like I got closer to my best friend over the holidays, even though we only hung out online.
We started playing Among Us and kicked ass in Rocket League, we won every game.
We also talked a lot. He’s been thinking about a movie idea for years and finally started writing the story, it’s looking very promising. Probably the main reason that it’s coming together so nicely is because he’s searched for feedback eagerly, been open to question his previous thoughts, and made pretty drastic changes to make it work.
In just the same way that I helped him, he’s helped me improve a comic strip series I’m writing. By pointing out what doesn’t make sense, asking the right questions and contributing with some ideas of his own. More fun together.
One of the first Between Atoms strips
In a previous newsletter I shared some character sketches I made while I was on an airplane. Those characters belong to the comic that I mentioned above.
The premise is that an old astronomer discovers tiny creatures living on atoms when she tries out a microscope for the first time. Here’s a random strip I made as a test.
It helped give me a better sense of the look and feel. I think the strip will end up close to this!
We’ll see when/if this comic idea actually happens some day. For now it’s simmering slowly in the background while I continue working on Surmount.

⛰️ How I make a character for Surmount
This is a TikTok I made to show how I make a character for Surmount. Starting with sketching and turning it into a 3D model that can do stuff. If you have TikTok account, please drop a like or a comment. I’m trying to get the game on people’s radar. So that one day I might become rich enough to buy a house.
🔍 Searching for Hideouts in Videogames
This is an essay about how I used to look for cozy corners in games with my brother when we were kids. Back when we didn’t care if we played games the correct way.
I wasn’t sure how to structure this weeks letter because I had so much I wanted to share. I think this makes sense.
Thank you for reading! See you next week!
We achieved great things together!
