Nice list:) I really like how it’s drawn in a way that looks genuinely appealing - rather than something that looks more like a list of unappealing chores.
Put shortly, I, myself, don’t have a consistent creative output. Whether it’s a struggle or not depends on how you see it.
On the one hand, it would be nice with more to show for myself and I tend to really admire more prolific artists.
On the other hand, I think that the type of “consistency” that matters the most to me is more of an abstract sense of “moving forward through life properly, every day”. At times, that might mean having a consistent output and at other it might mean working on myself internally.
With that said, just about any writer will recommend writing consistently - “writers be writing”.
Although, perhaps there is room for inconsistencies?
I think it's fine to have inconsistencies. I think it would suck the fun out of it if I stuck too hard to it. There needs to be room for life to happen too.
I think I tend to forget stuff after a while if I don't write them down, so if I work on myself, and never write it down and "fix it", I tend to restart a lot or forget.
There's probably no one size that fits everyone when it comes to consistency.
I think maybe this post stuck with me or something, simmering in my brain, and I decided to give consistency more of a whole-hearted shot - both when it comes to exercising and poetry.
Just wanted to share that it's been going well so far, so I owe you a tip of my hat :)
My approach is a little different than yours but nevertheless it seems to be what's working for me.
Anyway, you can go to bed tonight knowing that these things you're writing are making a difference - at least in my little life :)
"I wonder what things would be like if I were able to dedicate myself completely to one thing?"
lol I ask myself this question all the time 🙈
You're doing a great job with your newsletter, Jonas. Keep showing up!
Hahaha, so are you Sandra!
Thank you! :- )
