I’m just here to let you all know that you can get Surmount on Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac right now!
Incase somebody doesn’t know what it is, here’s a quick explanation.
Swing in circles and let go of the wall to fling yourself up mountains.
The big mountain is procedurally generated, which makes it a bit of a roguelike.
There’s a small town called New Tully where you can hang out, meet NPC’s and go on fun side missions.
Play alone or with a friend tethered to your side in coop-mode.
A Mii inspired Character Editor.
It’s such a relief to get it out there. To move onto the next stage of this game’s lifecycle. Which means to fix bugs, listen to feedback and add some extra content (like more stuff for the character editor). I’ve been watching some folks play the game early on twitch and youtube and they’ve been very positive!
A small favor
If you are getting the game on Steam, there’s a small thing you can do to help us out with visibility. Just play the game for a bit, 15 minutes is enough. And then leave a short review on the game. If we get 10 positive reviews that could give us a decent boost. You can always edit your review later if you wanna add to it or change it somehow, so no pressure to phrase it perfectly..!
Some tips
Use a controller, the game is designed with joysticks in mind.
There are a bunch of accessibility settings in the options menu. If you find swinging hard you can try the different swing modes.
Take your time and explore, you will discover stuff that can help you along the way.

I've been playing a lot throughout the day and am quite invested now. At the beginning I wasn't sure if I'd have what it takes to be a good climber but now, by the evening, I've gotten a real intuitive feel for a lot of things. Beating that race was a big victory.
The characters of the game are charming and I've laughed more than once :)
I've encountered some bugs on the Switch version -- so I may send list those to the official Surmount email.
All in all congratulations on a delightful game!
